Fix/repair stuck pixels on your PSP
If you’re not familiar with stuck pixels, you’re in luck. Most of PSP devices develop a number of stuck/dead pixels over the time, and some have them even when they come out of the factory. While there’s nothing we can do about the dead pixels, which as their name says-it-all, are dead, there is possibility of fixing/repairing the stuck pixels.
This tutorial is written assuming that you know how to establish USB connection between your PSP and your computer and how to put videos on your PSP. Prerequisites

- PSP Device
Step 1 ~ Download Stuck Pixel Fixer
Download Stuck Pixel Fixer to your computer, from the link above or from here. Download is 222Kb in size and will take only a few minutes if you have dial-up connection, or even less than minute if you have broadband connection.
Step 2 ~ Extract the Stuck Pixel Fixer
Extract the contents of the downloaded ZIP archive. Archive is named StuckPixelFixer.zip and you can extract it’s contents wherever you want on your computer. When the extraction of StuckPixelFixer.zip is completed you will find a new video file named M4V56052.MP4, which is actually Stuck Pixel Fixer.
Step 3 ~ Copy the Stuck Pixel Fixer to your PSP
Connect your PSP to your computer with the USB cable (see the tutorial here), and when the connection is established copy the extracted M4V56052.MP4 video file to your PSP (see the tutorial here).
Step 4 ~ Run the Stuck Pixel Fixer
Disconnect your PSP from your computer, and on your PSP head to VIDEO option in the menu. Select Memory Stick option and a list of videos/movies files will appear. From the list select RGB3 movie and run it by pressing the X button on your PSP.
Step 5 ~ Configure the Stuck Pixel Fixer
When the video starts, press the Triangle button, and from the options menu select Display option in the top-most row by pressing the X button. Keep changing (by pressing X button) Display option until it shows Full Screen in the bottom of the screen. Now, select middle icon representing the Loop from the bottom row, and then select the Play option. Press Triangle button to close options menu.
Step 6 ~ Let the Stuck Pixel Fixer run
It is impossible to say whether Stuck Pixel Fixer will work for you or how long it will take for it to fix your stuck pixels. According to most of the people it took few hours of running Stuck Pixel Fixer in order to fix stuck pixels on their devices. Let it run and occasionally check for changes of your stuck pixels.
Conclusion
This procedure is extremely easy to perform and there is no risk of damage to the device, and what’s important to note is that this procedure is not 100% successful. Reported success rate is around 60% which is good enough for at least giving it a shot.
