m33 Releases firmware v3.71, and goes to permanent break?
Just a day, after the announcement from Russian Homebrew community modding team m33, that v3.71 of their custom firmware for PSP is completed, they have released it to the public. Even though m33 stated that v3.71 will be released after the break, it seems that they have changed their minds. Short but nevertheless confusing statement was published on their official website, suggesting that m33 is going on a permanent break? What is even more confusing - retired (?) Homebrew community modder Dark Alex is mentioned in the statement in very delicate context.
Russian modding team m33, has released custom firmwares just days after the official release of Sony PSP firmware. All the confusion with m33 started a couple of days ago, with the dispute with AoP. Since then, a couple of controversial statements have been published by m33, but the last one that was published today, definitely leaves us all confused.
Todays statement on m33 official website, suggests two things of which at least one will have enormous impact on Homebrew community if it is true. Firstly, m33 suggests that they will not go to a break and return, but that they will go to a permanent break regarding custom firmwares. It’s time to make the Scene think into what has it turned as they have stated. And second, not even less confusing, an equal sign was placed in between Dark Alex and m33, obviously suggesting that Dark Alex never retired. Alleged Dark Alex official website, contains same statement from m33, and both sites feature credits, indicating that m33 coder is Dark Alex.
Was Dark Alex active this whole time and imposing as m33, will m33 really leave the scene, time will tell. But it seems to us that if m33 retires from the Homebrew scene, not only Sony wins the first round, but the chances are good that Sony wins the match entirely.
m33
3.71M33 Released. It will be our last but one release.
In the near future, it will be released a Slim&&Fat Unbricker, and a 1.50kernel patchFirst of all, thanks for all your donations.
It’s time to make the Scene think into what has it turned.
NOW you can look for guilty ones. And, to finish, greetings to pspx.ru and all the ones that have helped us in this crusade.
