Sony MemoryStick PRO-HG, in stores soon

Just last week, Sony has presented new series of it’s flash media used in all it’s devices - MemoryStick. New series in MemoryStick family is dubbed PRO-HG, is developed in cooperation with SanDisk, and is backwards compatible with the PRO series. Most important improvements over PRO series, HG delivers in content storage, where it’s capacity can reach maximum of 32 GigaBytes, with write speeds of approximately 60MB/s.

So there you have it PSP fans, while Sony has not ruled out possibility of PSP HDD, MemoryStick PRO-HG will surely deliver more than enough of storage capacity for your PSP. Sony has not disclosed expected retail price for PRO-HG, we do not expect it to be anywhere in acceptable range for now, but on the other hand, PRO-HG debut should mean price drop of PRO series.
