Patapon Demo: Game before the game

February 26th is getting closer, and now we finally have a chance to taste a bit of this long awaited game. We have reported on Patapon earlier and if you payed attention you’ll be excited as much as we are: Patapon demo is finally available!

But, this is not a regular demo, like everyone is expecting, it’s something pretty much new and different from what we have seen so far. Instead of doing some cliche things, Sony conjured up some mad PSP Juju and created the first ever demo-to-final save technology. Patapon demo also includes a demo-only exclusive: The Spear of Protection, an ultra-rare Patapon-weapon. So what does this all mean?

This is how the stuff (should) work:

1. Get your copy of Patapon demo (you can do that by preordering the game)
2. Play through the game demo and save your progress
3. Wait for the February 26th
4. Get your copy of Patapon
5. Load the saved game file, and start where you have ended the demo
6. Of course, be a proud owner of The Spear of Protection
