Firmware
Every PSP device comes with built-in software which controls how device works and what it can do, widely known as firmware. This piece of software is developed and maintained by Sony which often releases it’s upgrades. Firmware upgrade may include security patches, new or revised settings and features and other items, which change PSP functionality and should improve overall PSP experience.
This page represents overview of PSP firmware history, where most recent firmware version is on top. Each version has a list of security patches, new or revised settings and features and other items, in that version release. Latest version of PSP firmware can be obtained from Sony PSP website.
