Boulder Dash Rocks! Trailer

If you were crazy about the 1984 classic Boulder Dash, then you’ll be interested in this Boulder Dash Rocks! remake trailer. Main character and the “endboss” are playing Boulder Dash Rocks! on DS and PSP, while the “plot” of the remake unveils. Apparently main character wants to collect the gems because of the girl (?), and the endboss just wants him miserable. Trailer do make notes of some features that will be available in the game, like multiplayer mode, four different worlds to collect gems from, 130 levels and, of course, an vicious endboss. We’ve previously posted some screenshots of the game for you here.

A preview of Boulder Dash Rocks!

As we have previously reported, Boulder Dash Rocks! will be coming to PSP some time next spring. This new EA release will feature up-to-date graphics and some other enhancements, like support for multiplayer and many new levels. We got our hands on screenshots for this upcoming release, and wanted to share them. We’re not very thrilled by what we can see, and seriously hope that developer 10tacle studios AG will put up some extra effort.

Graphics on released screenshots doesn’t look so much “up-to-date”, but as an average 90′ platformer game. Main character which like a martian and purple demons(?) which doesn’t fit the surrounding level at all. Using up 1/3 of the screen for the “status panel” (or whatever it will be called). Looks like a big lack of creativity. Our overall impression so far is that Boulder Dash Rocks! will not be the revival of the legend … but the murder of it.
