Dead Head Fred get’s a new head in Japan
Probably the best action game released for the PSP is looking ahead at it’s March 19th release in Japan and it’s going to get a new head for itself. Well actually just a new box-art cover, not an entirely new in-game head. And as you will probably notice by yourself, box-art cover looks much more “grim” than the original one.

Dead Head Fred music available on iTunes
Composed by Rod Abernathy and Jason Graves, music from Dead Head Fred, is now available for purchase from Apples iTunes online store. Soundtrack represents excellent capture of in-game gloomy atmosphere, and features jazz, southwestern guitar, ambient, rock fusion and other styles. Soundtrack consist of fifteen different tracks, with over fourty minutes of music for your enjoyment.
To be honest, we are more concentrated on finishing the game and writing upcoming review, than on the music itself. Next time we go out ripping bad guys heads in this PSP exclusive, 1940 Fred Neuman get’s his revenge action packed game - we’ll pay a bit more attention to the soundtrack…
Adam Cogan, Game Designer, Vicious Cycle Software, Inc.
When we went to Rednote Audio we already knew a lot about Dead Head Fred and Hope Falls but we didn’t know what Fred’s world sounded like. Luckily, Rod Abernethy and Jason Graves at Rednote Audio did. They far exceeded our expectations and managed to create scores that are every bit as original and distinctive as Fred is.Mark Reis, Senior Sound Designer at Vicious Cycle Software, Inc.
Working with Rod and Jason is always a joy and their contribution to Dead Head Fred added flavor and depth that complemented the sound design and voice acting. The edgy soundtrack is a perfect accompaniment to the twisted noir world of Dead Head Fred.
